About De Bres Innovations

Experience Matters. Integrity Matters More.

A Lifetime of Learning, Building, and Solving Problems

I’m Art De Bres, founder of De Bres Innovations.

I’ve always been the kind of person who wants to understand how things work. Whether it’s a computer, a network, an engine, or something around the house, I’ve never been particularly satisfied with knowing that something works. I want to understand why it works, what causes it to fail, and how to make it better.

That curiosity has followed me throughout my life and taken me into industries and professions that, on the surface, might seem completely unrelated.

From information technology and electronics to construction, automotive troubleshooting, and property maintenance, I’ve spent decades developing practical skills and learning how to approach problems from different perspectives.

I don’t believe experience is measured solely by certificates, titles, or the number of years someone has held a particular position. Those things have their place, but there is no substitute for the knowledge gained by actually doing the work.

From Military Electronics to Enterprise Technology

My technical background began with the United States Navy, where I pursued training in aviation electronics.

Over the years, that foundation expanded into computer hardware, networking, systems administration, software troubleshooting, automation, and technical support.

Today, my professional experience includes managing hardware-related technical operations supporting more than 6,000 locations.

That work involves business-critical equipment, enterprise networking, remote troubleshooting, software deployments, technical diagnostics, and developing solutions that help keep daily operations running.

When technology is essential to someone’s business, understanding the consequences of downtime is just as important as knowing how to fix the equipment.

More Than Technology

While information technology is a major part of my professional background, I’ve never limited myself to a single trade or discipline.

I’ve worked in construction, roofing, plumbing, masonry, property maintenance, and other hands-on fields. I’ve also spent years working with automotive systems, diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems, and maintaining my own equipment.

Each of those experiences has taught me something valuable.

Sometimes solving a problem requires technical expertise. Sometimes it requires mechanical understanding. Other times, it simply takes patience, creativity, and a willingness to question assumptions.

Being able to draw from different disciplines often makes the difference between treating a symptom and finding the actual problem.

The Principles Behind De Bres Innovations

I believe that a person’s word should mean something.

Honesty, accountability, integrity, and respect aren’t marketing slogans to me. They’re principles I try to live by, personally and professionally.

That means being straightforward about what I know, what I don’t know, and what I can realistically accomplish.

If something can be repaired economically, I’ll tell you. If replacement makes more sense, I’ll explain why. If a particular job requires a specialist, I would rather point you in the right direction than pretend to have expertise I don’t possess.

I also believe in a simple principle:

Trust, but verify.

Assumptions are not diagnoses. Guesswork is not a substitute for understanding. And an expensive solution isn’t necessarily a better one.

I believe in asking questions, examining the evidence, and finding an approach that makes sense.

Why I Founded De Bres Innovations

De Bres Innovations grew out of a lifetime of solving problems, learning new skills, and helping people understand the technology and systems they rely on.

I wanted to build something that reflected those experiences while allowing me to put that knowledge to work across a variety of disciplines.

The goal isn’t to offer every service imaginable. It’s to provide practical, dependable assistance in areas where I have the knowledge and experience to make a meaningful difference.

Whether that means troubleshooting a computer, improving a network, helping plan a technical project, or working through a problem that doesn’t have an obvious solution, my approach remains the same.

Understand the problem. Evaluate the options. Do the work properly.

No unnecessary complications. No exaggerated promises. Just practical solutions, honest advice, and a commitment to doing things right.

And When I'm Not Working...

Professional when necessary. Serious when appropriate. Normal? That's debatable.

Life's too short to take yourself seriously all the time. The work? That's a different story.
